Arizona.... bad law?

Although I hate the new law in Arizona. I think it is important to not have a kneejerk reaction to this new anti immigration law. I do not like this law(its invasive and draconian) but we need to understand the illegal alien problem in Arizona. You have mexican drug dealers sniping border patrol agents from across the borders and you have individuals coming across the border and then sometimes committing crimes and then scurry back across the border to avoid prosecution. This is a unique problem to Arizona so lets not be to judgemental of Arizona we do not know the extent of their problems.

Imagine Black Teabaggers...It;s Easy If YouTry.

Reprinted from Tim Wise:

Let’s play a game, shall we? The name of the game is called “Imagine.” The way it’s played is simple: we’ll envision recent happenings in the news, but then change them up a bit. Instead of envisioning white people as the main actors in the scenes we’ll conjure - the ones who are driving the action - we’ll envision black folks or other people of color instead. The object of the game is to imagine the public reaction to the events or incidents, if the main actors were of color, rather than white. Whoever gains the most insight into the workings of race in America, at the end of the game, wins.

So let’s begin.

Imagine that hundreds of black protesters were to descend upon Washington DC and Northern Virginia, just a few miles from the Capitol and White House, armed with AK-47s, assorted handguns, and ammunition. And imagine that some of these protesters —the black protesters — spoke of the need for political revolution, and possibly even armed conflict in the event that laws they didn’t like were enforced by the government? Would these protester — these black protesters with guns — be seen as brave defenders of the Second Amendment, or would they be viewed by most whites as a danger to the republic? What if they were Arab-Americans? Because, after all, that’s what happened recently when white gun enthusiasts descended upon the nation’s capital, arms in hand, and verbally announced their readiness to make war on the country’s political leaders if the need arose.

Imagine that white members of Congress, while walking to work, were surrounded by thousands of angry black people, one of whom proceeded to spit on one of those congressmen for not voting the way the black demonstrators desired. Would the protesters be seen as merely patriotic Americans voicing their opinions, or as an angry, potentially violent, and even insurrectionary mob? After all, this is what white Tea Party protesters did recently in Washington.

Imagine that a rap artist were to say, in reference to a white president: “He’s a piece of shit and I told him to suck on my machine gun.” Because that’s what rocker Ted Nugent said recently about President Obama.

Imagine that a prominent mainstream black political commentator had long employed an overt bigot as Executive Director of his organization, and that this bigot regularly participated in black separatist conferences, and once assaulted a white person while calling them by a racial slur. When that prominent black commentator and his sister — who also works for the organization — defended the bigot as a good guy who was misunderstood and “going through a tough time in his life” would anyone accept their excuse-making? Would that commentator still have a place on a mainstream network? Because that’s what happened in the real world, when Pat Buchanan employed as Executive Director of his group, America’s Cause, a blatant racist who did all these things, or at least their white equivalents: attending white separatist conferences and attacking a black woman while calling her the n-word.

Imagine that a black radio host were to suggest that the only way to get promoted in the administration of a white president is by “hating black people,” or that a prominent white person had only endorsed a white presidential candidate as an act of racial bonding, or blamed a white president for a fight on a school bus in which a black kid was jumped by two white kids, or said that he wouldn’t want to kill all conservatives, but rather, would like to leave just enough—“living fossils” as he called them—“so we will never forget what these people stood for.” After all, these are things that Rush Limbaugh has said, about Barack Obama’s administration, Colin Powell’s endorsement of Barack Obama, a fight on a school bus in Belleville, Illinois in which two black kids beat up a white kid, and about liberals, generally.

Imagine that a black pastor, formerly a member of the U.S. military, were to declare, as part of his opposition to a white president’s policies, that he was ready to “suit up, get my gun, go to Washington, and do what they trained me to do.” This is, after all, what Pastor Stan Craig said recently at a Tea Party rally in Greenville, South Carolina.

Imagine a black radio talk show host gleefully predicting a revolution by people of color if the government continues to be dominated by the rich white men who have been “destroying” the country, or if said radio personality were to call Christians or Jews non-humans, or say that when it came to conservatives, the best solution would be to “hang ‘em high.” And what would happen to any congressional representative who praised that commentator for “speaking common sense” and likened his hate talk to “American values?” After all, those are among the things said by radio host and best-selling author Michael Savage, predicting white revolution in the face of multiculturalism, or said by Savage about Muslims and liberals, respectively. And it was Congressman Culbertson, from Texas, who praised Savage in that way, despite his hateful rhetoric.

Imagine a black political commentator suggesting that the only thing the guy who flew his plane into the Austin, Texas IRS building did wrong was not blowing up Fox News instead. This is, after all, what Anne Coulter said about Tim McVeigh, when she noted that his only mistake was not blowing up the New York Times.

Imagine that a popular black liberal website posted comments about the daughter of a white president, calling her “typical redneck trash,” or a “whore” whose mother entertains her by “making monkey sounds.” After all that’s comparable to what conservatives posted about Malia Obama on freerepublic.com last year, when they referred to her as “ghetto trash.”

Imagine that black protesters at a large political rally were walking around with signs calling for the lynching of their congressional enemies. Because that’s what white conservatives did last year, in reference to Democratic party leaders in Congress.

In other words, imagine that even one-third of the anger and vitriol currently being hurled at President Obama, by folks who are almost exclusively white, were being aimed, instead, at a white president, by people of color. How many whites viewing the anger, the hatred, the contempt for that white president would then wax eloquent about free speech, and the glories of democracy? And how many would be calling for further crackdowns on thuggish behavior, and investigations into the radical agendas of those same people of color?

To ask any of these questions is to answer them. Protest is only seen as fundamentally American when those who have long had the luxury of seeing themselves as prototypically American engage in it. When the dangerous and dark “other” does so, however, it isn’t viewed as normal or natural, let alone patriotic. Which is why Rush Limbaugh could say, this past week, that the Tea Parties are the first time since the Civil War that ordinary, common Americans stood up for their rights: a statement that erases the normalcy and “American-ness” of blacks in the civil rights struggle, not to mention women in the fight for suffrage and equality, working people in the fight for better working conditions, and LGBT folks as they struggle to be treated as full and equal human beings.

And this, my friends, is what white privilege is all about. The ability to threaten others, to engage in violent and incendiary rhetoric without consequence, to be viewed as patriotic and normal no matter what you do, and never to be feared and despised as people of color would be, if they tried to get away with half the shit we do, on a daily basis.

Game Over.

Question for The Palin Teabaggers.

Why is it when you people respond to this blog that you guys never comment on the important things like the Catholic church. its always this teabagger crap.I get the stupidest responses on her. Listen up Alex Jones and Fox news are not always accurate. Just because you fascist dogs can call up any talk show and spew your stupidity does not mean it will work here. I use facts not Fox fiction, and another thing not one of those lying racist teabaggers have had their taxes raised so what are they at....Oh I forgot there is a darky running the country so these bigots get some misguided minorities to teabag with them.
If rich people are so miffed by this then let them go out to the streets and protest not these nice people on medicare and getting government checks bitching about socialism.

Let's Prey !

Shutup Sarah!

"I don't understand a world view where we have to question whether we like it or not that America is powerful." Half term gov Palin(R-Quitter)

Isn't that why America is constantly at war?

Notice Al Qaeda didn't attack Canada...

"Remember Canada is a lot like America - without the wars and the slavery and the lynchings and the guns and the crime and the racism
and the serial killers and the violence and the poverty."

Why you never hear the tea baggers voicing their outrage on this issue?

selective outrage.......why yes!

That's because their rage is raced-based.
They don't care about the money and they don't care about the war.
They just want that black man out of the White House.
Did you know the Tea Baggers are 99 percent white? I mean their taxes have been cut so what are they angry about?

Church Cover up! Lying Bastards!!!!

Click twice for larger view and click on title for article !

A timeline of crimes committed by God's man on Earth

I am so sick of these so called men of god raping these kids and the church backs them up. These rapey priests and the pope included, needs to be thrown in a prison. These rapists have been preying on children for years. Is this why the age of consent at the Vatican is 13 years of age? I get tired of these hypocrites have been accusing atheists and other progressives of coming for your kids,,that was the mantra they are coming for your kids, well its interesting that the same people who were yelling this lie about coming for your kids...were actually coming in your kids the dirty bastards!
They need to go from getting some young ass to being the new ass in a prison. Arrest the pope and thse rapey priests.

Excerpt:
Given the rash of reports about the current pope's alleged involvement in the cover-up of clerical child abuse in a number of countries, I thought I'd produce a timeline for the convenience of anyone studying the matter.
It's no doubt incomplete, but hopefully helpful to those studying the issue.

March 1977: Ratzinger appointed Archbishop of Munich by Pope Paul VI.

January 1980: Ratzinger chairs the Munich Diocesan Council meeting where the case of a priest, Peter Hullermann, accused of sex abuse is discussed. (Hullerman, 31, had plied an 11 year old boy with alcohol and then had the kid blow him)
The Council decides to refer the priest to counseling.

Oh, that's a great move,Popey!
Nothing like a little counseling when it comes to sex crimes on kids.

Within weeks Hullerman is reassigned to another parish. (Ratzinger's man in Munich, Gerhard Gruber, has since assumed "full responsibility" for this assignment, noting that there were more than 1,000 priests in the archdiocese and that Ratzinger
entrusted that kind of personnel matter to his subordinates.)

No, it doesn't work that way.
YOU took responsibility for the position so it's ON YOU.

(Rev. Hullerman is to be convicted in 1986 of molesting young boys but is only suspended from the priesthood
recently when this news story breaks.)

Hey It's Nothing To Worry About Right?

But don't you worry one bit because Palin,Limbaugh and Fox News tells us global warming is a farce.

See folks this is why the founding fathers didn't bother listening to the backwoods knuckle dragging religious nuts. Although these men had their flaws ,but they were the educated men of their day and they created a wonderful document. Now we face the same group of people who mean well but are not intellectually equipped to deal with reality without calling in the same Fox News right wing spin.

Excerpt:
A huge glacier broke off and plunged into a lake in Peru, causing a 75-foot (23-meter) tsunami wave that swept away at least three people and destroyed a water processing plant serving 60,000 local residents,
government officials said on Monday. The ice block tumbled into a lake in the Andes on Sunday near the town of Carhuaz, some 200 miles north of the capital, Lima. Three people were feared buried in debris. Investigators said the chunk of ice from the Hualcan glacier measured 1,640 feet by 656 feet.

"This slide into the lake generated a tsunami wave, which breached the lake's levees, which are 23 meters high meaning the wave was 23 meters high," said Patricio Vaderrama, an expert on glaciers.

Hmmmm....they use that glacier for fresh drinking water.
When it melts and they no longer have fresh water at least they'll know
they died because the liberals have been lying about the glaciers melting.

Caught Lying Again!!!!

We caught those bastards at Fox News lying again. It's bad enough that the right lies to their people. But why does Fox news have to lie about something that the president never said concerning the nuclear war treaty. This is why you can not take them seriously. We do not need these weapons. I dare anyone to prove to me why and when and where we would use such weapons. I mean I get this story about how we need them just in case we are attacked. Ok by whom? We have the most dangerous and deadliest weapons known to man without ever having to go nuclear at all. I mean on 9/11 the worst terrorist attack on our soil and we did not respond with nuclear weapons! Neither did we in the last two gulf wars, we did not go nuclear. The reason the lying right wants to keep them is because it makes them feel tough and manly and gives them a false sense of security that's all there.

One More Time!

Please click on the blue title
"Your straw-men need some back bone. To imply that atheist are saint's is a bit much.
Himmler was an atheist and he certainly had Jewish rabbis killed.
Atheist have little to offer that is say that your mother not an atheist just learns your dad has been killed in a car wreck:
You: “Hey Mom, sorry about dad dying...I just want you to know that he will soon be rotting and stinking in the ground and will soon be worm food, and then will become part of nature.” Pause. “Isn't it neat that he, like all of us have no real purpose in life. We live, we die, then we rot.”
-WSX reader who has a really poor understanding of history and is pretending that Himmler was an atheist.

Are people really that stupid? Are there really that many dumb ass bumpkins who believe that Himmler and the Nazi's were atheists? Folks I really hate to bring this up because this is sooo beneath me. But I will address this AGAIN! First Himmler and the other Nazi's were Roman(kid raping )Catholics ok. Now I am not accusing the Nazi's of kid raping just the religion. Btw I never said atheists were saints(a religious term) I am just saying that not enough positive things are said about us and I am just setting the record straight.
